Just a quick note to say that I have just confirmed the dates for the next open course, which will be on 6-8th September in North Wales. I’m delighted that once again we will be joined by Lucy Creamer, who needs no introduction as one of the top all round female climbers, who will run the technique workshop.  Katy Forrester, a GB bouldering squad member and experienced competition climber will be helping you get to grips with your fear of falling in safe, controlled and gradual way.  We’ll also have a ‘getting out of trouble and preventing problems’ workshop to help trad climbers prevent rope tangles, and problem solve common scenarios like ‘oh no, its started pouring with rain and I’m half way up a route, what do I do now?’ or falling off on an overhang as a second.  This will give you confidence to tackle routes, knowing you have a get out clause.  I will be running a psychological skills workshop to help you manage anxiety, keep your mind firmly on the job by helping develop focus, and how to use visualisation skills. There will also be yoga/ meditation for climbing, and a guest evening lecture to inspire you!  The weekend is normally busy but lots of fun, and is open to anyone with some lead climbing experience, all ages and abilities welcome!
